I guess I missed a whole month. There was just too much random stuff going on. I'm involved in a group called International Aid Serving Kids that takes a group of health care workers and a dental team to Haiti and the Dominican Republic to provide medical and dental care to the people in rural areas of those countries. I have been working to purchase the medications and try to figure out how to get vaccines into the country without getting people arrested at the airport in Haiti. We ordered the meds today. It's such a relief to have that done. The vaccines are going to take some more work, so they won't be taking them on this trip. If you are interested in my new "hobby" you can see their website iask4kids.com.
It is so humbling to me to think of how much we have compared to other people in the world. Our healthcare system is cumbersome and complicated at times, but our access to care is good.

WOW Carrie, I had no idea you were doing that. How fulfilling (yet difficult!) Way to go, I think that is AWESOME!!
You rock. I can't even have a decent adult conversation, let alone juggle so much stuff all at once. How cool this is for you!
And I just thought you were in it for the drugs all these years! :)
